The Sky at Kansas City’s Crown Center reopens as a winter popup

Kansas City, Mo. – The old is new again as the once popular restaurant reinvents itself and plans to reopen after 11 years.

The skies of Kansas City are located at the top of the Crown Center. Many people in Kansas City will remember a special evening spent at the top next to the window as a rotating restaurant.

Those memories were many when the restaurant closed in 2011.

Now, more than a decade later, Skies Kansas City plans to reopen, at least for a short time.

Skies Kansas City will open as a popup bar season on December 1.

“We want to give people the opportunity to return to Kansas City’s most amazing views and enjoy the magic of the holidays. Winter Skies is truly a magical experience,” Skies Kansas City shared on Facebook.

Sky Kansas City says it will offer a great view of the city, and the lights of the Plaza, but will not rotate.

The restaurant will take reservations and also allow people to rent out the entire restaurant for holiday parties on dates of their choosing.
