Kansas-based Moving Proz lands on the Inc. 5000 list

“Moving is annoying.” That’s right, and Olathe-based Moving Proz is unequivocal about it.

The phrase is spray-painted on the back of a moving truck, which also lists a scary scenario but still “sucks less than moves.” Like your mother’s social media presence, hangovers in your thirties, or when your laptop freezes and you don’t hit save. The boldest scenario listed is, “Find you’re not the father.”

“I’m waiting for a few calls, but it’s OK,” the co-owner and CFO said Kelly Warren said. “They might not like it, but they’ll remember.”

Marketing tactics, and seizing growth opportunities, led the company to move commercial and residential to the No. 756 in this year. Inc. 5000 list of the nation’s fastest growing private companies.

Its three-year revenue growth was 839%, and during the next two years, the founder and CEO Derek Shaw expect the company will steer its revenue to the range of $40 million to $50 million.

It only considers its physical presence in the Kansas City and Denver markets.
