Electric vehicles in the spotlight at the Kansas City Auto Show

Kansas City, Mo.

Starting Thursday, visitors will be able to see all kinds of cars, including 2023 EV models.

“We have Ford Lightning, Ford Mustang Mach-E, Kia EV6 and Volkswagen ID.4. They will all be inside and inside the main showroom,” said Kevin Lawyer with Olathe and Lee’s Summit Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, Ram.

In the Electric Vehicle Experience, visitors can ride with a professional driver who will drive the EV around an indoor track.

Evergy is taking part in the KC Auto Show for the first time this year. Spokesman Andrew Baker said they would inform customers about charging stations and discounts.

“An electric vehicle is a different experience. It’s quiet if you’ve never been there. I think that’s one of the big adjustments,” Baker said.

Exotic cars, such as the Maserati Grecale 2023, the Maserati MC20 Cielo Global, and the Porsche Macon T. will be on display.

NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace will also appear on Saturday, September 10 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.

The Kansas City Auto Show runs from 10 am to 10 pm Thursday through Saturday and 10 am to 6 pm on Sunday.
