KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Bank of Commerce customers may have noticed some strange charges posted on their accounts over the past week.
Some customers may experience several small charges, while others see only one charge.
The bank said it is in the process of refunding the money, and there is no reason to worry.
“We are aware that some customers may have unexpected statement fees posted on their accounts. We apologize for any confusion. This is the result of an identified system issue, not due to third party activity. We have reversed transactions for many customers and will continue to process credits for the remaining accounts,” Commerce Bank said in a statement to FOX4.
The company says customers don’t need to take any action to receive a refund.
Customers with questions about fees marked “statement fee” on their accounts are asked to call Commerce Bank at 1-877-278-1744.
