Amtrak extends suspension from Kansas City to St

Kansas City, Mo.

The company is expected to continue running two trips between Kansas City and St. Louis on Wednesday, November 11. Instead, Amtrak said a lack of equipment forced to extend the suspension of the line into December.

That is delayed Missouri River runner route only impact Amtrak trains 311 and 316. Amtrak says trains 318 and 319 are running on a normal schedule.

The decision means there is only one trip across the state of Missouri a day, which may impact travelers hoping to take the train to St. Louis for Thanksgiving.
