Kansas City’s Country Club Plaza has been filling vacant storefronts with a mix of local and national tenants.
Ten businesses have recently opened, with more to come.
Like other shopping centers around the country, the Plaza has lost some big luxury tenants, such as Michael Kors, Kate Spade and Brighton Collectibles. Three retailers adopted a new strategy that reduced the number of full-priced stores and instead focused on their discount, outlet presence.
